What is JHP?

Journalism History Podcast (JHP) is a national podcast started in October 2018 by Teri Finneman and Nick Hirshon, in partnership with the AEJMC History Division and the Journalism History journal.

The podcast’s mission is “to reexamine the stories you thought you knew and the stories you were never told.” Each episode features expert guests and covers topics like wartime propaganda, food journalism, Abraham Lincoln’s relationship with the press, and the rise of Univision and Telemundo.

JHP also shares book reviews on media history through its website.
